BAe Hawker Siddley Nimrod MR1The Nimrod MR.1 has an airframe which is based on the de Havilland Comet 4C. It's primary mission is one of anti-submarine, anti-shipping warfare and surveillance. Two of the engines can be shut down for extended endurance. The first two prototypes flew in May of 1967.
